Nov. 26th- Thanksgiving
This month we are continuing to focus on our table manners and hand-washing skills. We encourage families to help implement the same healthy habits at home. As mentioned we use quick 1-2 phrase words to have the children understand directly what we are asking for, without the message being lost.
"Table Manners"
This entails the child to tell us they are all done with their food, clean up around them, tuck their chairs in, and if needed throw away items in the trash. We help by guiding and taking the child and directing them towards what we are asking so they can see the process.
"Wash Hands"
Children use a step stool and turn on the water, they pump one pump of hand soap and rub hands for 10 seconds. They then flip hands and wash each backhand for 5 seconds. We end with a squish and wash our hands under the running water, and dry.
Other Information:
As flu season is approaching soon, please continue to encourage to keep hands out of their mouths, washing hands frequently, and cutting nails. If you are looking to help build your child's immune system, we recommend adding additional Vitamin C to their diet (powder form can be mixed in with drinks) and/or Elderberry (gummies can be found as well). These are great and natural ways to help boost the immune system. These are not required, but optional.

Welcome Romy! Before we head into 2021, we will be conducting ASQ's on each child. These are developmental milestones for your child, to give families a bit of guidance during each age group, what your child should be able to perform all around. There is a separate tab for these forms, please find the appropriate age for your child, print, fill out and return to me by the end of the month. I will also be giving my own assessment on your child, as we track development and growth for our students progress in our program and want to ensure we are working together to meet the needs of each child individually.
January
2021
As we prepare for the New Year, I want to mention that we are heading into flu season amongst, the current pandemic of COVID-19. We ask that all families are doing their parts to continue practicing social distancing, wearing masks, cleaning/sanitizing, and helping children practice daily healthy habits, including washing hands with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds. The healthier our families and children are and remain, the better for our school community. If for any reason a child is showing symptoms of an illness, please make sure to keep them home.
Vitamin C and Elderberry are great additions to add to your child's diet to keep their immune systems healthy.

Future Talk:
With much of the media and community with their eyes and interest in our program, I first and foremost want to say thank you for your patience, support and most of all your appreciation for our program! This is all new to us as well, but its been an amazing experience. With that said, just so all families are aware, we have decided to expand. We are looking at the location of Pasadena, which would be about 10 mins from where we are located now. Please note, nothing is yet set in stone, and I will keep you posted with any details, but if all plans move accordingly, we are looking to open within the next 6-12 mos. Again, it is in the very early stages, but all students at TMS would get grandfathered in and would have sibling priority, also dependent on due dates for expecting families. If you have any family and friends that will be seeking childcare, please let them know to obtain a waitlist spot now via our website as waitlist applicants will get priority touring and then any remaining slots would be given to public. More details to come as I know more!
